Frequently Asked Questions

  • I purchased a PedalAce course, but I don't see the course when I sign into my PedalAce account.
That’s correct. As the purchaser, you will not see the course in your account. The course will be in your student’s account after you register them using the student registration form. If you’d like to check out the course or see the student’s progress, sign in to https://learn.pedalace.com using your student’s email address and password.
  • I purchased the course but didn’t get an email from PedalAce with the link to register my student.
Please check your Spam folder just in case it landed in there. If not, please contact us. We can resend it to you.
  • When my student signs into their account, they don’t see the course.
Let’s troubleshoot this. Did you complete the student’s registration? That’s where you provide us with their email address (required) and phone number (optional). If you haven’t, please complete that now. Once submitted, we will send an activation link to the student. Not sure where to register them? We emailed you a link right after you purchased the course. If you need us to resend it, please contact us. Did the student activate their course by clicking the link sent to them? If not, the student must click that link to activate their course. The link was sent via email and, if you provided their phone number, also by text. Is the student signed in to https://learn.pedalace.com with the email address you provided when registering them? If not, have them sign in with that address. Was the course activated more than 60 days ago? If so, it will no longer appear in their account. Courses are available for 60 days from activation. If none of these apply, please contact us.
  • Why are you asking for my student’s phone number?
If you provide their phone number, we’ll text their activation link to them. Texting is the easiest way for most teens to get started since most teens text more often than email. If your student doesn’t have a phone number, or if you’d prefer not to share it, that’s OK, too. We will still email the activation link to your student’s email address. The only time we will ever use the student’s phone number is to text them their activation link.
  • My student didn’t receive the course activation link from PedalAce.
Let’s troubleshoot this. Did you complete the student’s registration? That’s where you provide us with their email address (required) and phone number (optional). If you haven’t, please complete that now. Once submitted, we will send an activation link to the student. (Not sure where to register them? We emailed you a link right after you purchased the course. If you need us to resend it, please contact us.) If you completed the student registration, please check the Spam folder of your student’s email account. The email could be hiding in there. If not, please contact us, and we can resend the link. Did you use your student’s school email address? Many schools do not allow student accounts to accept emails from outside their network. If that is the case, please contact us. We’ll need to get a new email address from you. Or if none of those apply, please contact us, and we can resend that link to them.
  • Once I purchase the course, what happens next? How does my student get started?
After you purchase the course, we’ll email you a link to register your student. You’ll provide us with your student’s name, email address (required), and phone number (optional).* Once you complete their registration, we’ll send a course activation link to the student’s email. We’ll also text them the link (if you provide their phone number). When your student clicks their activation link, they can start their PedalAce course. You’ll receive an email when your student starts the course and another email when they complete it. *Student email and phone number are used for course communication only. We will never, ever send any marketing emails or texts to students.
  • My student doesn’t have an email address, and the student registration form says an email address is required.
A unique email address is required for signing into PedalAce.com. The student’s email address must be different than the email address used to purchase the course. So if your student doesn’t have an email address but you have more than one, you can use one of your other email addresses for them.
  • Where is their Certificate of Completion?
The Certificate of Completion is available in your student’s PedalAce account. You or your student can sign in to https://learn.pedalace.com using your student’s email and password Click the student’s name at the top right (desktop), or find it under the hamburger menu (mobile). In the dropdown menu, click My Account Click Certificates Click View And there’s the certificate! From this screen, you can download the certificate as a PDF or copy a link to the certificate that can be texted or emailed to any requesting party.
  • After failing a quiz multiple times, what can be done to move on?
Quizzes are open-book, meaning students can leave the quiz at any time, return to the lessons, find the answers, and then go back to the quiz to answer the question. Also, the lesson notes, located right below the video on every lesson, cover all the quiz questions. So, if students don’t want to rewatch the videos, they can read those notes instead.
  • Can PedalAce courses be taken on a phone?
Yes, students can take PedalAce courses on their smartphones. On phones, we recommend using full-screen mode to watch videos. But most students prefer taking PedalAce courses on a larger screen, like a laptop or desktop. A larger screen makes it easier to see the videos and the course notes that appear below the videos.
  • Can quizzes be skipped?
No. Students must pass each chapter quiz before moving on to the next chapter. How can we ensure the student has mastered the safety information if they don’t pass the quizzes?
  • Can lessons or chapters be skipped?
Within a chapter, students can watch the videos in any order they want. However, they must watch every video all the way through before they can move on to the next chapter.
  • After failing a quiz, the course says it needs to be retaken. What’s up with that?
There’s a quiz at the end of each chapter, and a student must pass it before moving on to the next chapter. If they fail a quiz, they haven’t learned all the vital ebike and safety information in that chapter. Students should go back, rewatch the videos, read the lesson notes located below the videos, and learn!
